This is a small and peaceful village set on the southern slope of the Montagne de Lure, surrounded by garrigue and lavender
fields, on the edge of pine tree plantations and forests of beech trees. Long-renowned for its essential oils (made from lavender
and medicinal plants), Cruis has been awarded a 'Two-Flower' grading by the national body which judges the most beautifully
flowered French villages and towns.
What to see, what to visit: the church Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Martin; the blind arcades of the 14th century cloister;

At Christmas time there is a gigantic nativity scene featuring listed santons.
