A Roman spa town, Gréoux-les-Bains is surrounded by fields of thyme, lavender and rosemary and located at the centre of the
Valensole plateaux, a region famed for its lavender fields. The water here was highly valued in the nineteenth century, and many
historical figures, including Pauline de Bonaparte, were regular visitors to Gréoux.
