Ampus

Small hilltop village where authenticity and calm reign. Fortified by the Counts of Provence thus serving as a refuge for Protestants threatening Draguignan during the wars of religion. Located between the Verdon gorges and the Nartuby gorges. You will be seduced by its shaded squares, its fountains where it is good to cool off, its Notre-Dame de Speluque chapel (classified as a historic monument since June 26, 1990).

To see, to visit : Saint-Roch chapel (18th century), Stations of the Cross created in 1968 by Geoff Hindry (on the top of the village, stations decorated with mosaics)
