Aurel

A perched village in the Pays de Sault surrounded by mountains, it offers superb and unspoilt scenery, with streams, vast expanses of lavender and wheat fields...A favourite with painters, Aurel was founded by the Order of the Hospital of Saint-John of Jerusalem who set up a hospice here. The castle and the church date back to the 12th century.
