At the intersection of four départements (Vaucluse, Alpes de Haute Provence, Var and Bouches du Rhône), Beaumont de
Pertuis is in the Regional Natural Park of the Luberon. In medieval times, the village, located on a very passing route, was a
prosperous hub of activity with a population of over 1,000, making it a major centre in those days. You can still see many ruins
of the village's ancient ramparts. The site of the chapel of Sainte-Croix (524 m above sea level) commands superb views over
the Montagne de Lure, the Durance valley and the Luberon. Do not miss the village emblems, the statue and the cave of
Saint-Eucher, which houses a chapel.
What to see, what to visit: the chapel of Notre-Dame de Beauvoir, the hermitage of Sainte-Croix, the gorges of the
Verdon, the lake of Sainte-Croix.
Recommended activities: walking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking.
