The village, awarded a silver medal in the competition 'Villages I Love' has retained its character. As you stroll through its narrow streets you will delight in its many treasures: the fountain, the wash house, the menhir of 'la pierre plantée', the clock tower, the chapel of Saint-Pierre… Vers is renowned for its wine of course, but also for the excellent quality of its stone, which was used to build what is one of France's most famous landmarks - the Pont du Gard. The village's quarries remain active to this day.
