Shielded from the mistral wind by the Dentelles de Montmirail, Beaumes de Venise is a haven of peace in the midst of typical
Mediterranean nature. Famed for its vin de Muscat, Beaumes de Venise also produces a quality red Côtes du Rhône.
A great many trails allow you to discover the village's history: its parochial church, the ruins of the feudal castle, the
chapel of Notre Dame d’Aubune and its steeple, the charming narrow streets and refurbished façades. Going back
much further in time, there are also the prehistoric caves of Rocalinaud and Ambrosi – these caves are also known as
baumes from which the village derives its name.
